Dermalogica, who describe themselves as the No1 professional skincare range, invited journalists to London’s Soho Hotel, to brief them on their latest new UK product launch.
Candice Gardner, the company’s education supremo, introduced the three new products which are aimed at bridging the gap between skincare and makeup:
- Skinperfect Primer SPF30 (£37.30)
- Sheer Tint SPF 20 (£34) which comes in light, medium and dark
- Cover Tint SPF20 (£34 and again in three shades
These are formulated so that almost anyone can achieve a plump, radiant and dewy complexion, at the same time as hydrating and combating damage from the environment and ageing.
Top makeup artist, Alyn Waterman (pictured below) – he does the big catwalk shows, TV and films, including the faces of the glamorous actresses on ITV’s Footballers’ Wives – showed us how to get the best effect from these products.

Skinperfect Primer is a three-in-one product which smoothes, protects and conditions skin, whilst correcting surface irregularities and creating a luminous finish. The magic bullet is a combination of peptides which stimulate collagen production and fight ageing – with regular use you should notice that pores grow smaller.
The other two tints are for added coverage – minimal and a little bit more.
At the end of the presentation we pop over to get Alyn’s advice and he does his magic and we leave looking 10 years younger.
These are lovely products with a unique offering and and a must for your anti-ageing makeup drawer. We know that you will want to get your hands on these asap but they are not on sale until the New Year! Watch out for our reviews of these products.
