Ever conscious of the importance of in-depth training, he nurtured the early talents of Lee Stafford, Errol Douglas, Richard Ward and Paul Edmond to name but a few! Neville himself trained at Alexandra Paris and at the Ginger Group.
Whilst evidently at the hub of the hairdressing world for many years, owing to his laid back persona, by his own volition Neville has rarely pushed himself into the spotlight, preferring the talent of his hairdressing skills to do the talking for him. Neville now runs Neville Hair & Beauty with Elena Lavagni, leaving him free to focus on what he loves – creating fabulous hairstyles!
Showing how the salon is refusing to diminish and fade away due to other new salon kids on the block, Neville Hair and Beauty has recently undergone a face lift. On entering you are greeted by a fabulous retro orange reception desk which sets the scene for whats to follow. Urban raw brick walls run along the side of both walls creating a modern, airy feel. The salon is uncluttered and spacious with no frills and spills; after all they leave their haircuts to do the talking.
The recent addition to the salon is the revamped colouring bar on the ground floor. Nevilles have gone to extreme lengths to make sure natural light falls into this room by extending the top floor window all the way down to the colouring bar so colouring stylists and customers see their new hair colour in a natural light. The Ultimate Kerastase Back Spa Beds allow you to kick your feet up and relax whilst apprentices lather your hair. So no aching neck or dead feet! Nevilles have incorporated these stunning and thoroughly individual design elements that typify the salons approach to making sure their client is happy every step of the way.
The beauty room is run by Fere Parangi, who is more than your average beautician, unbeknown to Fere, she has the tremendous title of being the best hot waxer in London. With seventeen years of beauty experience in Harvey Nichols under her white pinafore she waves her magic hands creating the most luxurious facial and even enjoyable leg wax due to her own soft, painless approach. Fere continues to pamper the Royalty and pop stars alike in their endless pursuit for the body beautiful. Her top treatments are Caviar treatment, Oxygen Facial, Honey Bees Wax and Caci.
Nevilles reputation for excellence appeals to a genuine cross section of clientele; their clients range from business women to socialites, models, royalty, celebrities and people living locally, who all return time after time for their signature style of contemporary sophistication. The salon is also a firm favourite with the press and Neville, Elena and the team are always keen to see journalists indulging themselves in the salon.
The Staff Nevilles guarantees excellence from cut and styling to colour and conditioning. All stylists have their own unique area of expertise and have built up their own clients who adore their style of cutting. /more
Neville Hair & Beauty employs a staff of 40, including a creative team of senior stylists, colourists, manicurists, Fere, their renowned beautician and of course the junior hairdressers, who in time-honoured tradition, will inevitably join the ranks of Nevilles previous graduates and become leading hairdressers of the future
Up and coming stylists include James Rowe and Stephen Lowe, who joined the salon in Summer 2004, who are renowned not only for their work on leading magazines such as Russian and Italian Vogue, Harpers & Queen, Dazed and Confused and covers for ID and Tank, but also headed and predicted the innovative styles for London Fashion Week with quaint hair bows for designer Ashis and cool ponys for designer Richard Nicholls for Autumn/Winter 05.
