Practitiners believe that each area of the body is represented by each of 12 areas of the iris. Ailments are diagnosedby studying changes in pigmentation. Iridologists believe that different parts of the iris relate to parts of the body. For example: the inner ring relates to the stomach, white marks are associated with stress and dark markings indicate a problem in the part of the body to which it correspondents.
